Hayley Crockford [ Pilates instructor & Bodywork therapist, North West Oxfordshire ]
Pilates
Pilates is a unique form of exercise, based upon principles of human anatomy and movement, that encourages body awareness and aims to build body strength from the centre or core. Widely recommended by chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths, it is suitable for any age or ability.
1-to-1 Sessions
Individual sessions are ideal for beginners or those who have specific injuries requiring a personal programme.
Matwork
Many pilates exercises are performed on a mat, often with soft props, such as balls, bands and blocks. Matwork is ideal for those who want to continue the exercises at home. Classes are usually limited to 10 people, with all equipment provided.
Studio
Equipment-based pilates uses special machines designed to isolate and work specific muscles for focussed strengthening and rehabilitation. Studio sessions are limited to 6 people and are usually 1 hour. In a studio session you can follow your own individual program, guided by Hayley, incorporating a combination of matwork and equipment exercises.
What To Wear
Socks and loose comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
